CARE GUIDE
Gold and Silver
Our pieces are made from either solid 9ct yellow gold or sterling silver and are intended for everyday wear.
Surface wear is inevitable but the level of care taken will determine how your jewellery looks over time. To keep your piece in the best condition, try to avoid the jewellery making contact with hard or abrasive materials that could cause deeper scratches or indentations in the metal and always remember to remove your jewellery when using chemical products.
To clean your jewellery, use warm soapy water and dry with a soft cloth. To polish, use a jewellery specific polishing cloth. Sterling silver will naturally tarnish over time, especially if not worn and if exposed to certain elements. Remove tarnish on your silver pieces using a non-abrasive silver polish and polishing cloth.
We recommend storing your jewellery in the bag provided when purchasing your Per Ardua piece.
Freshwater Pearls
Pearls are delicate and so too is the silk thread that they are strung on, so careful handling is important.
Gently wipe using a soft cloth after wear to remove any excess oils or products that may have transferred from the body. If further cleaning is required, use a damp cloth. Do not submerge in water as this will deteriorate the silk thread. Ensure that the pearls and thread are dry before storing.
